A cautionary tale in what happens in singly-focused pursuit of a goal.


Ghosts of Summer by Catherine Tavares was published at Apex Magazine in October.
Ghosts create cold spots on the hottest of summer days.


Small Wonders published:

You’re Dead & I’m Safe & Still I Dream Of You by S.M. Hallow in October.
A viseral poem.

Scoop by Rebecca E. Treasure in October.
I had to read this story multiple times to follow it. (in a good way) Very well done.

Ink Reviews by Rachel Gutin in October.
This is a wonderful non-traditional format story via reviews of ink. All my ink hyper focus friends will love this one.

With Nothing Left by Emma Burnett in November.
A story of caring beyond …

A poem of a choice between life and death.


“Life and Jacq and the Giant and Death” by Christopher Degni was published at Stupefying Stories in 2023.
A beautiful fairy tale and fable, pulling in features of beloved stories with a tragic ending.


Clarkesworld published Ratlines by Brent Baldwin in November.
I was privileged to read an early version of this. It’s a fascinating read. Loved the reveal!


Doctors HATE Her!! Local Woman Is NOT Cursed by Bree Wernicke was published at Bourbon Penn Another fantastic non-traditional story, a series of internet posts by a LEGO enthusiast. Yet another story my hyper focus friends (this time on LEGOs).


Words Without Borders published Spirit Summoning, Part I by Sakumi Tayama Translated from the Japanese by Mark Gibeau A story of when lies become truth and consequences.


Sleeping Defiant by Emmie Christie was published at Disabled Tales in September.
A poem about a bear. But only about a bear?
