August was a hectic month for me. I moved from the West coast to the East coast which involved a lot of work on both sides of the US and not much time for reading. My internet was often unreliable. I only posted ten (10) stories. Here they are in case you missed them.
Crepuscular published in June.
Unspoken by Kelsea Yu.
A story of food and its importance in both the big and small moments of our lives. (Free to read.)
In Apokries, You Dance With the Humans.
Minotaurs and humans partying. (Free to read.)
Astrolabe published Annual Review by Shana Ross in July.
A flash fiction full of truth.

Falling Forever by P.A. Cornell was published at Factor Four Magazine in August.
The movement of time at the end of your world.

Inner worlds published in May:
The Human Lifecycle by Hannah Greer .
Oof. This one pairs well with Italic & Bold by Dan Peacock at Hearlines
Come F*** Yourself by Sylvie Althoff
A story of corporate boundaries. I have a theory about who steps out of those rooms.

Beverly’s Sonata by Jennifer Hudak was published at PodCastle in 2023.
A beautiful story of learning to accept new situations, whether human or instrument.
Moist Poetry Journal published “live” by Ash Vale in June.
Fuck yeah, Ash!
Of Wolf and Woman by Catherine Tavares was published at Flash Point SF in June.
What does it take to become the alpha wolf? What does she lose?
As an aside, Catherine did a “story behind the story” in her newsletter and it was super interesting.
Phano published Look for the Helpers by Dave Walsh in July.
When all she wants to do is help war orphans and they aren’t quite good enough.
September should be better for posting stories. I’m not settled in yet, I have a new job, and I begin dev edits on my YA science fiction debut novel at the end of the month, but I expect to at least be able to read.
Check out my Bluesky and Mastodon for daily recs and this blog for monthly round-ups.
