Adria Bailton (she/they) spends her day focusing on the nuclei of atoms, and imagines entire worlds and universes to share. Their first published poetry and short fiction were in her high school’s fiction magazine some decades ago. Their first paid short fiction was in 2021 to Wyldblood Flash. Her piece at Constelación Magazine was published in both English and Spanish. Adria is an Associate Member of the SFWA, Member of SCBWI and Codex.
Adria spent the last 15 years in the U.S. Pacific Northwest and the traditional territory of several Indigenous nations, including the Stillaguamish, Suquamish, and Duwamish. They recently moved to New England where they live with their partner, an axolotl, and three dogs.
Writer Community Activities
Adria reads slush for Interstellar Flight Press, volunteers as a Market Checker & Updater for The Submission Grinder (which just means I have more excuse to live on that site), a NetGalley administrator for SFWA, and was a Moderator for WriteHive 2023 and 2024 and Flights of Foundry 2024. She participates as a rotating host for #Writephant writer chat on Mastodon. She established and manages the Codex Members BlueSky feed.
