Whalesong by Guan Un in May.
(I may be a Guan Un fan and will always rec his stories.) The premise is so creative and interesting, and I love how some people see them and some don’t.

Haven Spec published The Cavalry by João F. Silva in 2021.
This story is a lesson in worldbuilding with an “unlikable” character.

Bodies of Sand and Blood by Plangdi Neple was published at Cast of Wonders in 2024.
This story is perfectly aimed for the CoW YA audience, a story of acceptance by the gods and choosing your destiny.

Lyrical and poetic, beauty in the horror and dread.
